How Does Hario Coffee Syphon Work

The Hario coffee siphon works by heating up the lower bowl and inserting the filter and ground coffee into the top bowl. Once the water reaches the boiling point, it starts to rise into the upper bowl. All you have to do at this point is stir, so the grounds brew evenly.

Once you remove the heat source the coffee will begin to run down through the filter into the bottom syphon bowl. Remove the top chamber and serve directly from the syphon.
