In your Aeropress pack, you’ll find all of the above parts, the funnel, plunger, chamber, scoop, stirrer, filter papers, filter papers holder, and filter cap.
Insert a filter in the filter cap.
Attach the filter cap with filter paper to the chamber.
Screw the cap on tight to the chamber.
Grind 15g of beans (1 heaped spoonful) on a fine to medium setting.
Place the chamber with filter cap on a coffee cup/glass. Attach the funnel to the chamber and place your ground coffee inside.
Add 200 ml of water at 80oC, stir for 10 seconds and then place the plunger a few centimetres into the chamber. Some coffee will drip through to your glass/cup with this method.
After 1 minute, apply gentle pressure to the plunger pushing all of the water through the filter over 30 seconds.
Once all the water has been pushed through, take the Aeropress off the glass/cup. Empty the filter cap, and rinse clean all parts. The filter paper can be reused if you wish. Dry all parts, and leave the plunger within the chamber.
