The inverted aeropress method
In your Aeropress pack, you’ll find all of the above parts, the funnel, plunger, chamber, scoop, stirrer, filter papers, filter papers holder, and filter cap.
Insert a filter in the filter cap.
Grind 15g of beans (1 heaped spoonful) on a fine to medium setting.
Place the plunger a few centimetres into the chamber. Turn the aeropress upside down. Add the funnel into the chamber. Add the 15g ground coffee.
Then pour 200ml of 80oC water slowly into the chamber. Remember 1g=1ml.
Stir for 10 seconds.
Then apply the filter cap with the filter paper inside. Leave to brew for 1 minute.
Take away the scales (if used) and place your coffee glass/cup ontop of the chamber. This will make it easier to turn the aeropress around without making a mess.
Turn the aeropress around, place on the table. A little coffee may start to drip through to your glass/cup at this point.
Press gently on the plunger for 30 seconds.
Remove the Aeropress and clean all parts. The filter paper can be reused if you wish. Dry all parts, and leave the plunger in the chamber.
Enjoy your coffee.
