Sumatra is the largest island in Indonesia and the 6th largest in the World. This rich Sumatran Mandheling Grade 1 coffee is grown in the Gayo mountains region of Sumatra.    Coffee in this region is normally planted with other crops, pulses, chillies, and vegetables at altitudes from 1350 to 1700 meters above sea level. Soils are from volcanic origins, and are rich and fertile. A variety of small farms work together toward the common goal of producing great coffee beans.
