Rwanda is known as the ‘land of a thousand hills’. There is the altitude and weather to grow fantastic coffee. This Rukira zone coffee is grown in sandy clay soil in the Ngoma District, Eastern Province of Rwanda. The coffee cherries are double fermented, with 12 hours wet and then a further 18 hours of dry fermentation, before a final wash, and laid to dry for an average of 15 days.
